Clemens Teufel / Chairman of the Board and Founder

Born and raised in Germany, Clemens is an international concert pianist and also the founder of Puddingstone Events. He lives in Newport, RI with his wife and two children.

Message from the founder:

I’ve always been impressed by artistic cities like Prague where music, exhibitions, or readings of literature are just around every corner. I hope to bring this spirit to the Newport community by offering arts programming in a salon-style format, as done by our French predecessors in the late 1800s. These salons served as a place of artistic incubation for all arts combined and for artists to share their work in a fun and accessible way. It offered a space for impromptu creativity, bringing a vivacious energy to the artists and their patrons. It also broke down the barriers for audience members who weren’t as familiar with legacy musical pieces.   

My goal is to attract traditional and fresh audiences into a classical world while also spotlighting established cultural organizations.

Kevin O'Leary / Marketing Director

Kevin is an Aquidneck Island native with over 20 years of professional marketing & business development experience for private companies and non-profit organizations. He was co-founder of both the Vermont Mozart Festival & Mystic Folkways Music Festival. He lives with his family and record collection in Middletown, RI.
